We collect and analyze the fees and exchange rates from firms that help transfer money. We make this knowledge accessible from our search engine and update the pricing in real-time so that the best firm comes directly to the top.
What do I need in order to send money?
Each service is different. In general the services that are online will require you to have a bank account in the US and a phone number they can reach you at. They will confirm that you own the bank account before they draft money out of it. Some service offer credit card or debit payment however this service is much more expensive because of the fees that credit card companies charge.
Is signing up really free?
Yes, our service is completely free. We alert our users once a money with pricing updates on the country they are interested. If a new service or an existing service becomes cheaper we will let you know.
Who is the target user of Send Money?
We are trying to help people in the US that need to transfer money outside the US.
How long does a transfer take?
Depending on the service it cane take a few minutes or a few days. We find that cheaper services tend to take longer because they have to take less risk to avoid fraud and keep the margins thin. Money Transfer websites that use bank account ACH payments general take around 3 days for the first transfer but they can get faster over time as they learn about their customers.

Our goal is to cover all countries. We have started with the US because we are based here and we are adding all the countries that people can send to from here.
